Light in the Trenches is a Christian ministry built on a simple truth: God does not abandon us in the trenches. He meets us there.Life can place people in trenches they never expected—through caregiving, loss, hardship, financial struggles, broken relationships, loneliness, illness, disappointment, or seasons when simply getting through the day feels like a victory.

Our mission is to bring hope, encouragement, compassion, and the love of Jesus Christ into those places.

We believe ministry isn’t only found inside a church building. Sometimes ministry looks like sitting beside someone who is hurting. Sometimes it means caring for someone who cannot care for themselves. Sometimes it means encouraging a caregiver who is exhausted, reminding someone that they are not forgotten, or simply being willing to walk through a difficult season with another person.

That is where Light in the Trenches was born.

Our Heart

We are here for the people who are in the trenches—and for the people standing beside them. Through encouragement, teaching, caregiving, testimony, prayer, and practical support, we seek to remind people that their circumstances do not determine their worth and that their darkest season does not mean God has left them.

Our faith is firmly rooted in Jesus Christ, while our heart remains open to every person, regardless of where they are in their spiritual journey. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you come to God.

You don’t have to be perfect.
You don’t have to pretend you’re okay.
You can come exactly as you are.

From the Trenches to the Light

The trenches may be difficult, but they don’t have to be the end of the story. We believe God can take the very places where we have struggled, suffered, and fought to survive and use them to become places of testimony, compassion, purpose, and ministry. Light in the Trenches exists to help people discover that light—even when they are surrounded by darkness.

And that light is Jesus Christ.

Our Connection to Caregiving

The heart behind Light in the Trenches naturally extends into the work of Caregiving Mastery.
Caregiving is more than a job. It is an opportunity to serve another human being with dignity, patience, compassion, and purpose. But caregivers can find themselves in the trenches too.

They become tired. They become overwhelmed. They carry the weight of other people’s struggles while sometimes forgetting to care for themselves. We want caregivers to know that their work matters, their lives matter, and their service can have purpose far beyond a paycheck.

Through Caregiving Mastery and Light in the Trenches, we seek to equip, encourage, and remind people that serving others can be both a profession and an expression of God’s love.
